Even if you only have a small yard, it is easy to incorporate edible plants into the landscaping.

We feature hardy northern grown plant stock that has been adapted to our local area. We grow our plants outdoors year-round for continued hardiness. We only use natural fertilizers and never overwinter in greenhouses. Too many nurseries force grow plants in hot houses using chemicals in order to produce plants. We grow ours as natural as possible for potted plants in order to provide the home gardening enthusiasts with plants that have extra vigor and are ready to set heavy fruit crops.

Paw Paw Trees - A deciduous tree that produces large green oblong fruits that, when cut open, yields a delicious fruit that is similar to banana custard. Although a North American native from the deep South, our tree stock is field grown from seed in Minnesota for extra cold hardiness. Requires two trees for pollination to produce fruits.

Goji Berry - We have Crimson Star, a hybrid cross of two native species, one from the Himalayas, and one from North America. Produces heavy harvests of sweet, light orange berries known for their extreme antioxidant properties. Our hybrid plants are self-fertile and have become the most sought-after variety for commercial production and home gardening producers. We now have another new Asian hybrid available, Phoenix Tears, that features larger berries and will certainly become another popular commercial producer.

Raspberries - We grow many different varieties available in containers ready to plant into your landscape. They may be trained onto a fence, trellis, or staked to conserve space. All are self-fertile and readily produce red, black, purple, or yellow raspberry fruits, normally starting in July until Fall. We are very proud to introduce newer ever-bearing varieties available in both yellow and black fruits. We currently have a limited supply of honey-sweet Anne Yellow raspberry while they last!

Blueberries - Our most popular Blueberry is not blue, it's red. Pink Lemonade has parentage from three blue Blueberries, yet it produces a tangy red berry that finishes 2-3 times sweeter than most Blueberries. We grow Chandler, the world's largest Blueberry, about the size of a quarter. We also have a limited supply of Bonus, that might become the world's largest Blueberry this year with fruits rumored to be the size of half-dollars. We offer a great selection of many Standard High-bush Blueberry varieties for the Home Gardener, many produce very colorful foliage for the landscape along with heavy crops of mouth-watering berries. We have the new super pollinizer for Red Blueberries; which is Premier, the best for freezing; Jersey, and the best for overall taste; Berkley, along with these other vigorous producers: Blue Crop, Duke, Elizabeth, Hannah's Choice, Herbert, Legacy, Patriot, Sunrise and Toro. A newer addition is our Dwarf Blueberry cultivars Chippewa, Sunshine Blue, and Top Hat that can be grown in containers on decks and patios, perfect for harvesting Blueberries for your breakfast in your slippers.

Boysenberry - We have heritage Gervais Boysenberry stock from Clyde Reed Farms of Oregon. This is the same variety bred by farmer Knott, of Knott's Berry Farm fame. Handed down to Mr. Reed by Mr. Darrow from the Anaheim municipal parks department, this berry almost remained undiscovered until Mrs. Knott began using the fruits for her world-famous Boysenberry pies and jams. Self-fertile, these cane-berries can be easily trained into rows or staked to conserve space.

Thornless Boysenberry - A hybrid cultivar, a combination of an unknown thornless Blackberry and Gervais Boysenberry. It is rumored that the original plants were discovered as seedlings in the Boysenberry fields at Clyde Reed Farms in Woodburn, Oregon. Plants are very fast growing and the fruits are similar to the Gervais Boysenberry, although somewhat smaller with more of a blackberry taste. Vines are completely thornless for ease of picking.

Tayberry - Another hybrid cultivar, a combination of Boysenberry and red raspberry. Also known as Red Boysenberry, fruits are large like true Boysenberries, but are distinctly red and a bit more tart. Plants are very fast growing and seem to be more disease resistant than its parentage. A very prolific fruit producer.

Marionberry - Most people wonder why a person would grow these berries when there are plenty of wild blackberries that grow locally in empty lots and wild spaces. That is until they taste these wonderfully sweet, dark purplish fruits. These berries have a taste all of their own, very sweet with just a hint of rose floral taste. A hybrid cross of native blackberries from the Santiam valley of Oregon. Self-fertile, and very prolific fruit producer.

Triple Crown Blackberry - A hybrid plant that is easily staked or trellised to conserve space. Berry fruits are large and very similar tasting to Marionberries. One major improvement for most home gardeners is that the vines are totally free of thorns. This cultivar is very cold-hardy and disease resistant. A very heavy fruit producer, great for both commercial production and the home gardening enthusiast.

Prime Ark Traveler Blackberry - A hybrid blackberry plant developed for outstanding row growth and fruit production. Plants are upright in form and do not require staking. Extra large berries taste similar to Oregon wild blackberries. Vines are somewhat thornless for ease in harvesting. Bred for heavy commercial production, home gardeners should allow for plenty of space for growth.

Loch Ness Blackberry - A newer Monster Sized Blackberry from Scotland. Thornless canes grow very erect and need very little support, if any. Plants are very suitable for growing out in patio pots. Produces giant sized berries from mid-August until frost, extending fruit harvest. Berries may look ripe before they are ready because they are so large, so sample a few for sweetness. If they are still tart wait a week or so before picking.

NEW! Black Satin Blackberry - A new introduction for the Home Gardener. A completely thornless Blackberry that produces uniformly sized berries that are extremely sweet. Highly recommended by the staff of Harry and David for growing here in the Rogue Valley. We have acquired a limited supply this year for our gardening customers and hope to ramp up production to supply commercial producers next year.

Loganberry - In 1881, California judge and amateur plant breeder James H. Logan accidentally invented this hybrid berry in his back yard from seedlings bred from blackberries and red raspberry. Pioneer families from the Colton, Molalla, and Boring area farms once grew this variety as a cottage industry to produce both World-renowned Loganberry wine and brandy. Interest in this cultivar waned and we ceased commercial production of the plant some 20 years ago. Due to the advent of home-brewing and wine making interest that has increase over the past few years we are making this cultivar available again. We have a few plants ready this year and hope to have many more available for next year.

Kiwi Vine - We have cold hardy Kiwi Vines that produce the same large, fuzzy skinned, Kiwi fruits that you find in the supermarket. These prolific vines can grow up to 30 feet in length in just one season. It is best to trellis the vines on arbors for ease of picking. Just remember they do require plenty of vertical space, and to encourage more fruiting next year, the vines need to be trimmed back by 2/3rds at the end of the season. Sold in pairs of female and male plants for pollination and fruit production.

Honeyberries - After several years of development with our tissue culture partner and the University of Saskatchewan, we are very proud to announce the availability of four new cultivars of Haskaps, known also as Honeyberries. Unlike earlier varieties that in some cases produced somewhat bitter fruits, these new introductions are thin skinned, very sweet and tasty. Availability will be limited for the next year or so as we ramp up production for commercial growers, but we have secured a limited supply to satisfy our local customers with mixed varietal pairs for perfect pollination and fruit production.

Gooseberry - We scoured all of North America to find the most tastiest and deepest purple gooseberry available. Our new introduction, Black Velvet, certainly meets our requirements. Although fruits can be picked while still tart and red, they are best left on the plants until they are almost black. Then they are the sweetest Gooseberry fruits we have ever found. We also feature three other traditional Gooseberry varieties. You too, can become the Gooseberry Pie King!

Viking Aronia Berry - These fruits are known as a super food due to their highly antioxidant nutritional value. Fruits are seldom eaten fresh because of their highly acid taste. Most use the juice of the fruits mixed in other fruit juices, wines, jelly, or teas. Because of their nutritional value there is a growing industry for berry production in the USA. Plants are cold hardy to USDA zone four.
