Why can't I change my payment method on Instacart? ›

You can only change the credit card or billing information if you're an admin or have edit access to Payment Settings. Click your profile icon in the top-left corner. Click Settings (gear icon). Click Billing in the Settings menu.

If you need to update a previous payment method, you must remove it from your account and then add it again with the correct payment information.

Make sure these details are correct—even a typo can cause a decline. Update your Instacart app or website with your new credit or debit card information if it expired recently. Check your bank account or credit card to make sure you can afford the Instacart order. Insufficient balance can prompt payment decline.

We do offer split payment. To use two methods of payment on the same order, add the items you need to your cart and follow the checkout process.

Deleting your account is permanent and irreversible.

Once an order has been placed, the payment method used on that specific order cannot be modified if the order has been completed. However, you can simply cancel your order and re-place it as a brand new order with your updated payment of choice.

Did you receive a delivery you're not completely satisfied with? Usually, we can quickly give you a credit when you report a problem through the Instacart app or website. You have up to 4 days after pickup or delivery to self-report an issue with your order.

How much you work, which batches you take, and how far you drive — it's all up to you. You'll always see the key details upfront so you can make the best decision for you. Choose the batch that's right for you — you're never penalized for not accepting a batch.

A generic bank response which simply indicates that the bank is not willing to accept the transaction. The transaction may be declined due to a high level of recent activity on a card, a lack of matching AVS information, the card is over its limit or a range of other reasons known only to your bank.

There are several factors that impact how we make batches available to shoppers: Shoppers with a 4.7 rating or above will see batches before shoppers with below a 4.7 rating. Shoppers who are closer to a store will see batches before shoppers who are further away.

Up to 2 customers can create family carts and share an Instacart+ membership with family accounts. If 1 member on the family account has an Instacart+ membership, all users get the order savings benefits.

It is actually against Instacart policy to bring anyone with you while on an active batch. If you are caught or reported to Instacart, you can be deactivated.

Can I have two or more accounts? Instacart allows only one personal account per person or household. However, you may use a secondary account for business purposes.

Instacart suggests a default tip based on several factors, such as order attributes and your tip history. We suggest a default tip during bad weather. You can modify the tip while placing an order or after delivery. However, you can't modify the tip while the order is in progress.

You can cancel an order for a full refund without any additional fees before a shopper begins shopping. You can't cancel custom orders like meal combos, catering orders, bundled holiday meals, cakes, deli sandwiches, and other deli items (ex.
