Okay so I had a miscarriage on April 10th, then a couple days after I was sexually assaulted. the guy didn't finish inside of me but I know precum is a thing (sorry).... never got my period after the miscarriage just a positive pregnancy test around the end of may.. have been sexually active with my boyfriend the whole time. I didn't want to talk about this because I didn't think it'd be possible for the baby to be anyone elses besides my boyfriends, but after my doctor’s appointment yesterday I’m not so confident anymore. I asked her if I could get pregnant only 2-3 days after a miscarriage and she told me “well it’s not impossible” so now I’m like freaking out that this baby could be the product of the sexual assault. It’s been a mix of emotions since my positive test, but mainly I was so excited when I was sure it was my boyfriends but now I’m terrified that it’s not and I’m not sure I could go through with the pregnancy if it’s the other guys. Guess I just needed to vent idk, don’t really have anyone to talk to about this besides my obgyn.

This is the ultrasound she did in office. I’m supposed to go for a dating ultrasound next week to figure out for sure when I got pregnant.

I’m so sorry you experienced that and hope you’re getting support around it. I think the odds are fairly high this is your boyfriend’s baby, but the dating scan should be able to give you more reassurance of that.

Can I ask, was the positive test faint or blazing? Typically after a mc you go back to ovulating as normal so around 14 days after the bleeding stops. In that case it rules out the sa entirely. Also it can take even long after a mc to ovulate which is why I ask about how positive the test was. While there is a very small change you could have ovulated within the first 7 days of a mc it is highly unlikely. Also if that was the case you would be closer to 10-11 weeks and that ultrasound looks earlier to me, though it is not a very good picture.

I want to hopefully ease your mind and say I can’t see anyway that pregnancy is more than a 8-12dpo in the pic meaning you are certainly got pregnant in mid may and the baby is your boyfriend’s❤️

the test on those lines is 50, so I would imagine you hcg there is around 60-75. I didn’t get a proper dark line one that test til I was over 100 hcg.

I forgot to mention I did have a checkup on the 22nd of April to confirm the miscarriage. I was definitely no longer pregnant. but at my drs yesterday she examined me and said I felt like I was between 10-12 weeks.

well if he said he didn’t have sex with you and it’s his baby (dna test) then wouldn’t that be a kicker for an assault conviction. Make sure he was questioned by the police and he gives a statement that he didn’t have sex with you…. That way if the paternity comes back not to be your bf’s then you have a case!! It’s sucks that you are out in this situation but some men are scum and need to be taught a lesson.
To your bf- no one gets asked if they want to be assaulted. So if he thinks that you put yourself in a bad situation then he’s wrong. Some men are scum and use women. End of story!!!!

oh I'm sorry that happened to you. I did get pregnant immediately after miscarriage, but it took us 3 weeks. I did not ovulate for 3 weeks after my loss so I think there's plenty of hope it is not your assailants baby.

I would try not to panic and wait for the dating ultrasound. I am so incredibly sorry you went through that experience, I can’t imagine. Wish you the very best and hope you get the answers and clarification soon.

I had a miscarriage on April 6th. Did some blood work later the next week to confirm my HCG was back to 0. My husband and I were told to wait two weeks to have sex again so we did (on April 20th). I had my first ultrasound a little over a week ago and I measured exactly 9weeks 4 days and the date of conception was April 20th. I’m 11 weeks today. It does usually take at least two weeks to ovulate after a loss so I think the likelier outcome is that it’s your boyfriend’s baby. Wishing you the best and a happy, healthy, uneventful pregnancy❤️
