As of Wednesday, May 22nd, Southwest Airlines flights can now be viewed on Google Flights, a significant change for the airline, which previously could only be searched through its own website.

The airline, which is the 2nd-largest commercial airline by market value and the 4th-largest by fleet size, didn't specify how long this pilot program will last or if any further changes are planned.

The change in how Southwest Airlines' flights are displayed on Google Flights was hinted at by the company's CEO, Bob Jordan, during the first quarter earnings call in April. This was first reported by CNBC, where Jordan also discussed potential modifications to the airline's boarding process.
In its statement, Southwest Airlines expressed its enthusiasm to continue exploring ways to introduce more consumers to the unique combination of value, friendly and flexible policies, and the extensive flight service it offers. This includes more than 800 non-stop routes across 121 airports in 11 countries during the peak summer travel season.
This change is limited to Google Flights, meaning other aggregators or flight sites like Kayak or Skyscanner won't show Southwest flights, at least for the time being.
